The travel home.
‘zzZZZZZZ’ The portal sends me back to my world but the whole world goes black.
I wake to see my closest friend and furriest acquaintance licking my face. I pet Aldos my dog. Aldos whined and Jumped down from my bed. It dawned on me that I wasn’t in my bed. I had a grand bed and the chain on my dog was encrusted with expensive gems.
My cousin was up to something. I could hear him talking behind the closed door.
“... I will finish him and all his powerful friends. I will become more powerful than ever before because I will have killed a magician.
I looked to my hands for escape. They were chained in silver, they stopped me from making magic. Only Motepal, my cousin, had taken this to far, he had Diamonds melded into the silver gloves. This destroyed the silver’s shielding property meaning I could wield all the magic I liked. I slowly melted the silver with a heating charm.
I climbed out the window and trudged through the rain. I couldn’t believe that Motepal had betrayed me. I had always trusted him and thought he felt the same towards me. I smiled as I reached my emergency bunker I had conjured up when I first started learning to harness my powers.
I laughed quietly as I realised that this had been Motepal and I’s hide out when we young. I lay down in bed. I was only fourteen and my cousin had already turned against me. I rolled over so that the secret door would open into our old play place.
As I walked in I felt a shock run through my body. A strong one. Motepal’s wizard laughed from his pentagram as Penrenutet used a fatal spell to shock my body and paralyse me. I had two minutes after this spell was cast in which I could use magic. I could not shield and I could not teleport.
I was to weak to inflict pain. I began to recite the freeing spell for demons from my will. Any demons in my control would die with me. As I was finishing the recitation for Bartimaeus my vision blurred and my magic was stopped and I was paralysed. I could Affa and teti’s voices in my mind screaming in agony as they too were slowly being killed. The only person who could stop this was Bartimaeus.
He burst in through the portal in the other room. I heard it shatter from the force of the entry. He killed Penrenutet with a wave of his hand. He rushed over to help I could feel the spell leaving but the side effects would weaken me unbelievably.
Two weeks passed and I had a carriage 24/7 I could not walk, swim or even crawl. I make my way to the Nile river where Motepal is imprisoned. The wizard is chained to the wall with pure silver gloves, no gems or jewels.
When I arrive the doors are broken and the cell is empty. I feel another shock go through my body, this time from Affa and Teti, both at the same time. They were enraged that I had not freed them. The shock kills me within minutes. I am turned to ash as the last part of the spell and I drift along the Nile. In the Nile I now live amongst all other greats who were cremated.
